Lesson Presentation
Step 1: Introduction
Start with a brief story of Samuel hearing God’s voice in the Bible. Ask the pupils if they have ever felt or believed that God was communicating with them.
Step 2: Explanation
Explain that God speaks to us in different ways, such as through the Bible, dreams, and inner thoughts. Discuss how each of these methods serves a specific purpose in guiding our lives.
Step 3: Demonstration
Use visual aids to show different ways God spoke to people in the Bible. For example, show a picture of Moses and the burning bush to demonstrate God speaking through a miraculous sign.
Step 4: Guided Practice
Ask the pupils to share ways they think God has communicated with them or others they know. Guide them through identifying the purpose of that communication.
Step 5: Independent Practice
Give pupils flashcards with different scenarios, and ask them to identify the method and purpose of God’s communication in each scenario.
Step 6: Feedback
Review the scenarios with the class, providing feedback on their answers, and clarifying any misunderstandings about how and why God speaks to us.
Evaluation
Formative Assessment:
Throughout the lesson, ask questions to assess understanding, such as “Can someone tell me another way God speaks to us?” or “Why do you think God spoke to Samuel?”
Summative Assessment:
At the end of the lesson, have pupils write a short paragraph on one way God speaks to them and why they think God chooses that method.
