God Speaks to Us in Special Ways
Do you know how sometimes you feel like someone is telling you something, but you can’t see or hear them? That’s kind of like how God speaks to us!
God is like a best friend who is always with us, even when we can’t see Him. He wants to tell us things to help us, guide us, and love us. Here are some ways God speaks to us:
- In our hearts: Sometimes, we feel a little voice inside us that tells us what’s right or wrong. That’s God whispering to us!
- Through the Bible: The Bible is like a special book that God wrote just for us. It’s full of stories, wisdom, and love letters from God.
- In nature: Look around you – at the beautiful trees, flowers, and animals. God created all these amazing things to show us His love and care.
- Through people: Sometimes, God uses our friends, family, or even strangers to tell us something important or encouraging.
Sub Topic: ways through which God speaks to us (ii) purpose of God speaking to us.
Ways Through Which God Speaks to Us
- Through the Bible: God speaks to us through the stories and teachings in the Bible. It’s like a special book where we can read about God’s words and learn how He wants us to live.
- Through Prayer: When we talk to God in prayer, He listens to us and can help us understand what He wants us to do. It’s like having a conversation with a loving friend.
- Through Nature: God’s creation, like beautiful flowers, trees, and the sky, can remind us of His power and care. Nature can show us how amazing and loving God is.
- Through Other People: Sometimes, God uses people around us, like family, friends, or teachers, to give us important messages and advice. They can help us understand God’s love and guidance.
- Through Feelings in Our Heart: We might feel happy, peaceful, or even troubled inside. These feelings can be ways God is guiding us to make good choices and understand His plans.
Purpose of God Speaking to Us
- To Guide Us: God wants to show us the right path to follow and help us make good decisions in our lives. It’s like having a map that helps us find our way.
- To Comfort Us: When we feel sad or worried, God speaks to comfort and encourage us. He wants us to know that He is always with us, just like a caring friend.
- To Teach Us: God wants to teach us how to live a good and happy life. By learning from the Bible and our experiences, we understand more about how to be kind, loving, and true.
- To Strengthen Our Faith: By hearing God’s words and understanding His messages, our faith in Him becomes stronger. It helps us trust Him more and believe that He has good plans for us.
- To Show His Love: God speaks to remind us that He loves us very much. His messages are filled with care and affection, showing that we are important to Him.
Lesson Presentation (Step-by-Step Procedure)

Step 4: Guided Practice
Have pupils work in pairs to discuss a time they felt God might have spoken to them (e.g., through a good thought or comforting dream). Allow them to share their thoughts with the class.
Step 5: Independent Practice
Ask pupils to draw a picture of one way God speaks to people. Encourage them to be creative in their representations.
