Introduction to Food Nutrients
Food nutrients are substances in the food we eat that help our body grow, stay healthy, and give us energy. There are different kinds of nutrients in the food we eat every day, like proteins, carbohydrates, fats, vitamins, and minerals. Each nutrient has a special job to help our body work well. For example, proteins help us grow strong, while carbohydrates give us energy to run and play.
