Entry Behaviour:
Pupils should have previously learned about the letter sound /d/ and have some familiarity with recognizing letter shapes.
Instructional Materials:
- Flashcards with the letter “E” and images of objects starting with /e/ (e.g., elephant, egg, ear)
- Audio recording of words that begin with the /e/ sound
- Large paper and crayons for drawing
