Jesus in the Manger
Mary and Joseph lived in a town called Nazareth. One day, they had to travel to Bethlehem because a king wanted to count all the people. They walked a long way, and Mary was very close to having baby Jesus. When they arrived in Bethlehem, it was very busy, and all the places to stay were full. Mary and Joseph couldn’t find a room in the inn, so they had to go to a manger, which is a place where animals live. In the stable, Mary had baby Jesus. She wrapped Him in soft cloths and laid Him in a manger, which is where the animals eat. This was a very humble place, but it was special because Jesus was born there.
