Content
- Security Tips in the School:
- Fenced and Gated Compound: A secure perimeter helps to keep unauthorized individuals out and ensures that only those with legitimate reasons can enter.
- Security Personnel at the Gate: Having trained personnel stationed at the gate helps to monitor and control who enters and exits the school, enhancing overall security.
- Visitor Clearance Protocols: All visitors should be checked and cleared before being allowed into the school premises to prevent unauthorized access and ensure the safety of pupils. Require all visitors to sign in and out, and issue visitor badges that must be worn at all times.
- Â Surveillance: Install and maintain CCTV cameras at strategic locations, including entrances, hallways, and playgrounds. Ensure that footage is monitored in real-time by security personnel or designated staff.
- Safe Access Control: Use access cards or ID badges for staff to enter secure areas.
- Supervision: Ensure that areas such as playgrounds and hallways are supervised by staff members. Monitor pupils’ movement within the school to ensure they are where they are supposed to be.
- Communication Systems: Utilize PA systems or text alerts to quickly communicate important information or emergencies. Provide staff with two-way radios for quick communication, especially during emergencies.
- Safety Training: Educate pupils about safety rules and how to report concerns.
- Importance of Security Tips:
- Protection from Intruders: Prevents unauthorized persons from entering the school and potentially harming pupils or staff.
- Controlled Access: Ensures that only those who are authorized can enter, which helps to maintain a safe environment.
- Emergency Response: Allows for a structured and secure response in case of emergencies by knowing who is in the school at all times.
