At the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to:
- Identify living things found in their school and home environments.
- Describe basic characteristics of living things (e.g., they grow, need food).
- Compare living and non-living things in their surroundings.

Pupils should be able to recognize animals and plants and have some understanding of what makes something living or non-living.
