Objectives:

- Practice washing their hands thoroughly.
Materials Needed:
- A sink with running water or a basin with water
- Soap (liquid or bar)
- Towels or paper towels
- Visual aids or posters showing the steps for washing hands
- A small soap dispenser or soap dish
Introduction:
- Greet the pupils and introduce the topic of the day: washing hands properly.
- Explain that washing hands helps remove germs and keeps us healthy, especially before eating and after using the toilet.
Lesson Development:
Step 1: Introduction to Hand Washing
- Show a visual aid or poster that illustrates the steps for washing hands.
- Discuss why washing hands is important for hygiene and health.

Step 2: Demonstration
- Wet Hands: Demonstrate how to wet hands under running water or in a basin.
- Apply Soap: Show how to apply a small amount of soap to hands.
- Scrub Hands: Demonstrate how to scrub all parts of the hands, including the front, back, between fingers, and under nails, for at least 20 seconds.
- Rinse Hands: Show how to rinse off the soap thoroughly with water.
- Dry Hands: Demonstrate how to dry hands with a towel or paper towel.
